The call-to-arms sounded in the wake of Operation Pillar of Cloud, launched on Gaza after days of escalating tensions.
The Zionist media reported that enemy infantry, including units of the elite Givati Brigades, are being moved towards the Gaza strip.

The Zionist entity last carried out a land invasion in Gaza four years ago as part of Operation Cast Lead 2008-2009, which claimed the lives of over a thousand Palestinians. Most of the civil losses resulted from the ground attack.

Meanwhile, Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Qandil arrived in the Gaza Strip on Friday to show solidarity with the Palestinian people following a two-day military offensive in the enclave, an Egyptian official said.

The Zionist entity has said it will suspend all military action during Qandil's three-hour visit so long as the Islamist group Hamas also halts fire.
