Al-Manar correspondent in Gaza said that hundreds of Gazans celebrated the victory after the truce take effect in 21:00.

“Despite the darkness which prevailed in Gaza because of the blockade, the victory has lightened Gaza strip tonight,” Imad Eid said in his message broadcast during al-Manar’s 23:30 newscast.

“Tonight the Gazans can sleep after eight days of raids and killings across the strip,” Eid added.

"The resistance has triumphed," some youths shouted, alongside chants of "Allahu akbar (God is greatest)."
