Participants in Int’l Conference of Bahrain Arrive in Beirut

Participant figures from different world countries continue to arrive in Beirut to participate in the Int’l Conference in Support of Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain.

Bahrain: International Conference in Support of Democracy and Human RightsParticipant figures and delegations from different American, European, Asian and Arab countries continue to arrive in the Lebanese capital of Beirut to participate in the second International Conference in Support of Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain, organized by the Bahrain Forum for Human Rights on December 12-13, 2012.

Majority of the participants have arrived on Tuesday, while some European personalities are scheduled to arrive in Beirut Wednesday morning before the start of the conference.

Head of media committee in the Bahrain Forum, Baqer Darwish, told Al-Manar Website that the conference opening will take place on Wednesday at 04:00 pm in Coral Beach Hotel, while sessions are to be held on Thursday morning to tackle two main themes:

1- Supporting democracy and human rights in Bahrain.
2- Role of international organizations and civil society institutions in supporting democracy and human rights in Bahrain.

Darwish stressed, however, that the conference represents a media and righteous effort, which aims at enhancing human rights and exerting pressure towards implementing the just demands of the Bahraini people within the democratic change.

Moreover, Darwish revealed that during the opening session, the Forum will give an honorary medal to one of the main personalities of the Bahraini Revolution.
