Zionist Entity’s Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman said after meetings with his legal staff that he will resign from his post, after it was announced he would be indicted for fraud and breach of trust.
Liberman announced on Friday he would resign from his positions as foreign minister and vice prime minister in the current government, in a statement issued by his Office.
“I would resign in order to fight the charges of fraud and breach of trust set to be brought against me,” Liberman’s statement read.
On Thursday, Zionist Entity’s Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein said that Lieberman would be charged with fraud and breach of trust in the 2009 case involving the former ambassador to Belarus.
At the same time Weinstein dropped more serious allegations against Liberman. The decision closes a case that included explosive allegations of fraud, money-laundering and witness tampering.
