Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Commander Rear-Admiral Ali Fadavi said Monday that Iran is pursuing establishment of sustainable security in the Persian Gulf region.
Addressing a conference focusing on the Persian Gulf and Hormuz Strait, Fadavi referred to the Persian Gulf as the most important and vital route for transferring energy to the entire world.
If the existing energy resources in the Persian Gulf are not used, the world will undoubtedly witness a worse economic situation, said the commander.
The US, he added, thinks in vain that it could continue its domination over the world by taking control of the energy resources in the Middle East.
Washington is not capable of bringing sustainable stability to the region, he stressed, adding that the regional Muslim nations are able to maintain the security of the region.
