Heading a governmental delegation, Syrian Prime Minister toured the northern city of Aleppo.

PM Wael al-Halqi met on Monday with economic, religious, social and civil organizations in Syria’s second largest city.

“The prime minister went to Aleppo at the head of a delegation to assess the hardships faced by the city due to the criminal actions of terrorist gangs,” a broadcaster on state television said.

During the visit, Halqi said the government is following with great interest the developments in the area and is aware of the difficulties of the population as a result of the insurgent acts of armed opposition groups.

He said the attacks against roads prevented the arrival of diesel fuel to the city and highlighted the efforts made for the arrival of the essential products as soon as possible.
