Al-Manar reporter further said that "Brahimi is scheduled to meet with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on Monday."
A Lebanese border official who spoke on condition of anonymity has also told AFP Sunday that Brahimi "has entered the country and is on his way to Damascus."
"The international envoy crossed the Lebanese-Syrian border at about 2:00 pm (1200 GMT)," the official told AFP, after reports that Brahimi had flown into Beirut International Airport.
Brahimi's visit to Syria is the first since October 19.
