Palestinian Authority Chief Mahmoud Abbas criticized on Thursday the Israeli settlement projects as destroying the so-called ‘peace’ process.
Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Abbas received on Thursday an Israeli delegation headed by the leader of the left-wing party Meretz, Zahava Gal-on.
The PA Chief told the Israeli delegation that the Palestinians were still committed to a ‘peace’ process, based on international resolutions and the 1967 borders, with east al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the their capital.
He added that only after a halt in all settlement activities could negotiations resume, through which permanent status issues could be resolved, Wafa added.
