Qandil made the remarks in an anti-corruption symposium organized by the Egyptian cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center.
The Egyptian premier noted that the coming year will witness the parliamentary elections, which will definitely bring an end to the transitional period.
"We are waiting for an economic and political leap after the parliamentary elections," added Qandil.
Asked about the economic initiative launched last week, Qandil said the initiative's recommendations will be extracted from meetings between the government and non-governmental organizations that will propose a plan for the next year until 2022.
"We couldn't make progress without an economic leap, social justice and combating corruption," affirmed Qandil, reiterating that the government will get 20 billion Egyptian pounds (about 3. 13 U.S. dollars) during the fiscal year 2012-2013 by signing investments contracts.
