IRGC Navy Says Closely Monitoring Foreign Movements

A senior Iranian commander said Monday the naval forces of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) are closely monitoring all the movements of foreign forces in the international waters south of the country

A senior Iranian commander said Monday the naval forces of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) are closely monitoring all the movements of foreign forces in the international waters south of the country.

“The IRGC Navy enjoys full command over all maritime borders; and today we are at the highest level of readiness and might,” Deputy Commander of the IRGC Navy Rear-Admiral Alireza Tangsiri said.

The IRGC Navy recently conducted military exercises in the waters of the Persian Gulf near the port city of Bandar Abbas, as part of their tactical training for modern warfare.

The exercises were conducted to boost the combat preparedness of IRGC forces, familiarize them with the latest military achievements, increase their response time and ensure well-timed responses to natural and manmade disasters

Over the past few years, Iran has held several military drills to enhance the defensive capabilities of its armed forces and to test modern military tactics and equipment.
