IAEA, Iran to Meet on February 13

The next round of talks between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will be held on February 13, one day later than originally planned.

Iran, IAEAThe next round of talks between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will be held on February 13, one day later than originally planned, the Vienna-based U.N. nuclear watchdog said on Tuesday.

The IAEA offered no specific reason for the delay.

IAEA deputy director general Herman Nackaerts last week said a new round of talks would be held on February 12 in Tehran, after a two-day negotiation failed to reach an agreement over the so-called structured approach to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue.

Iran and the West are locked in a bitter dispute over the former's peaceful nuclear program, with the latter accusing Tehran of developing nuclear weapon under cover of peaceful purposes, a charge Iran has consistently denied.

Iran has insisted that its rights to peaceful nuclear activities, and above all, the right to uranium enrichment program should be recognized by the IAEA and world powers.
