Serbia: former diplomat Peter StovicA former Serb diplomat, Peter Stovic, said Wednesday economically strong and technically advanced Iran can give mighty crushing respond to any military invasion against its soil.

During an interview with IRNA news agency, Stovic pointed out that Washington's hegemonic policy is known to the world. “US and Israeli verbal bullying on invading Iran militarily would never come true, as they are well aware of the horrendous outcome of any type of military move against Iran,” he said.

Stovic referred to the sanctions imposed against the Islamic Republic since the beginning of the Iranian revolution saying that “the Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on the Iranian nation's will and the Iranian technicians' expertise, thus far managed to turn the difficulties due to imposed sanctions into opportunities at the service of its own advancement and self-sufficiency."

The former Serbian diplomat noted that a part of the international community, particularly the United States will not cease continuing various political and economic pressures aimed at blocking the path of the Islamic Republic of Iran's comprehensive advancement, adding: “The new remarks by US President Barrack Obama that the US would continue its policies regarding the international issues, particularly in the Middle East, is a clue that Washington would continue its notorious policies in the region."

He furthermore referred to the continuation of the Iran-5+1 Group negotiations, saying that “the Islamic Republic of Iran is definitely ready, as it has always been, for constructive and logical talks.”

The Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hinted strongly at possible military action to stop Iran from developing an atomic bomb, stating that preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons would be the main challenge for a new enemy government.

Iran repeatedly denies it is trying to develop a nuclear arsenal and insists its nuclear program has only peaceful purposes.
