A Bulgarian investigation said that a “militant cell carried out the attack” that killed five Zionist tourists, the driver and the bomber.

The investigation added that the “cell included a Canadian and an Australian citizen. Both had been living in Lebanon, one since 2006 and the other since 2010.”

"We have well-grounded reasons to suggest that the two were members of the militant wing of Hezbollah," said Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Bulgaria's interior minister.

Israeli Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, urged EU action, saying investigators had found Hezbollah was "directly responsible for the atrocity".
"This is yet a further corroboration of what we have already known, that Hezbollah and its Iranian patrons are orchestrating a worldwide campaign of terror that is spanning countries and continents," Netanyahu added in a statement.

For his part, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Miqati renewed on Tuesday condemnation of the July attack.
He said in a statement: “We condemn any assault against any Arab or foreign country and we will cooperate with Bulgaria in the investigation into the attack.”

He voiced Lebanon's “confidence that the concerned Bulgarian authorities would seriously assess what the findings of these investigations would yield.”
