Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that Iran and Egypt can form a strong front that can counter arrogant powers.
Addressing the Egyptian cultural and political elite during his official visit to Egypt, Ahmadinejad said that Tehran and Cairo can adopt an approach to promote unity across the universe.
He questioned the existence of conflicts among Muslims and between Muslims and Christians, adding that Muslims should pursue common goals because “we have a common enemy.”
The Iranian president expressed confidence that the Iranian and Egyptian nations were willing to cooperate with each other in order to establish a world based on justice and humanity.
“Our nations should follow up long-term objectives to reach unity and convergence,” Ahmadinejad pointed out.
“The Zionists and arrogant powers will undoubtedly fall and the day of the nations’ freedom would come,” he added.
