Imam Ali Khamenei praised on Monday the courage, awareness, and national sense that the Iranian people showed by taking part in the rallies commemorating the 34th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei praised on Monday the courage, awareness, and national sense that the Iranian people showed by taking part in the rallies commemorating the 34th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Mehr news agency further quoted Imam Khamenei as saying in a lecture Monday that “these massive rallies are a great event”.

His eminence added that “the participation of different types of people, the old, young, men, and women, in the commemoration of the 34th anniversary of the victory of the revolution is a great blessing that requires endless gratitude.”

“What distinguishes the commemorations in Iran is that the Iranian people hold ceremonies to celebrate the victory, because these people are the owners of this revolution and this country. This is why we see the Iranian people defending the revolution, which they consider the essence of their glory and independence, and this is why they take to the streets whenever it requires,” Imam Khamenei said.

The leader expressed his gratitude to all the Iranian people for their participation, “while the enemies of the independence and dignity of the Iranian people are betting that people would desert the calls of the revolution and the Islamic Republic.”

“The presence of the Iranian people frustrated the enemy’s plans,” he considered, asserting that “the enemy have tried, through its media, to downplay the public participation in the ceremonies… the enemy saw the scenes, examined them carefully, and concluded that it is impossible to defeat this nation.”
