Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Herman Nackaerts, said in Vienna airport on his return from Tehran that the agency is committed to continuing negotiations, adding that “we need more time to advance the negotiation process.”
Ali Asghar Soltanieh, Iran’s envoy to IAEA, who was heading the Iranian negotiation team, talked to reporters about intensive negotiation between Iran and IAEA, and said that “while resolving some of the differences and agreements on some issues, the parties agreed to review the new proposed draft on the modalities agreements and decide on the next meeting.”
In a letter to the President of the UN Security Council, Iran's Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations, Mohammad Khazaei, emphasized that “Iran is very serious about the negotiations with 5+1 group, and expects that the other side is also serious about the new round of talks, scheduled for 26th of Feb 2013, in Kazakhstan and will achieve effective and positive outcomes.”
