Syrian opposition activists said on Wednesday that a rocket was landed in a command center of a major unit belonging to the militant groups near the capital Damascus on Wednesday, Reuters news agency reported.
The unit’s pilot was injured, the agency added.
A spokesman for the opposition insurgents stated that the ‘Sheikh’ Zahran Alloush, founder of “Islam’s Brigade’, was wounded in the attack without elaborating further.
However, a commander of the opposition rebels, who fights within the Brigade’s ranks in Damascus, said that “it will a great loss if Sheikh Alloush is killed.”
“Islam’s Brigade is the strongest in the battlefield and Sheikh Alloush is its mastermind,” he added.
