The Zionist Home Front Defense Minister Avi Dichter has denounced what he called the “European Union’s hesitation” in putting Hezbollah on its terror list, labeling debate on the issue as "almost a joke."
"Asking if Hezbollah is a terror organization is like asking if Paris belongs to France," the angry Zionist told reporters late Tuesday during a visit to France.
The United States had urged the European Union to follow it and put Hezbollah on its terror list, but the 27-member Union argues that the Lebanese party has many social associations involved in the Lebanese society.
"To speak about Hassan Nasrallah as someone who is only political is ridiculous," Dichter said, referring to the influential Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah.
The Zionist entity launched a bloody 34-day war in July 2006 on Lebanon, and killed more than 1,200 people, mostly civilians. The Lebanese resistance of Hezbollah fought against the aggression and granted Lebanon the divine victory of 2006.
Since then, the Zionist entity has spared no effort to mass international condemnation against Hezbollah, in an attempt to defeat the Resistance by diplomacy after its failure to defeat it in the battlefield.
