The Supreme Iftaa Council in Syria called on Syrian people to “perform the duty of joining the Syrian Army to defend the nation which was blessed by Heaven and called upon by the prophet.”

The Supreme Iftaa Council in Syria called on Syrian people to “perform the duty of joining the Syrian Army to defend the nation which was blessed by Heaven and called upon by the prophet.”

The Council appealed to the Syrian people to stand in one rank with the army and armed forces, stating: “Performing the legitimate duty of defending unified Syria and the Syrian people is an obligation on all the sons of our nation, as well as on all the Arab and Islamic states.”

In a statement it issued on Sunday, the Syrian Iftaa Council warned of standing in face of the army and armed forces, as “this is treason and a participation in weakening its (the army) power in Armageddon against Zionists and their supporters.”

The statement further indicated that “military service is a faithful and national responsibility, so preserve with it the blood of innocents and the sacredness of land and honor.”

“Let your stand with our Syrian people be a stand of protection and care for our humanitarian, economic, cultural, and historical wealth,” it concluded.
