Media reports said on Tuesday that the head of the PSP was to go ahead with the nominee of Mustaqbal party. Jumblatt is to appear tomorrow (Wednesday) during a televised interview in which he will announce his stance.

The Parliamentary consultations, aimed at designating a new PM, are due in Baabda presidential palace on Friday and Saturday. Every bloc will inform President Michel Sleiman over the figure it supports to head the new cabinet.

For its part, Mustaqbal bloc called for the formation of a government that excludes parliamentary candidates, “in order to be capable of carrying out the elections as soon as possible.”

Following its weekly meeting in the house of former PM Saad Hariri in Wadi Abu Jamil, the bloc stressed on the importance of carrying out the parliamentary consultations on time.
