Hezbollah commented Wednesday on the ongoing Zionist crimes against Palestinian prisoners, especially after the martyrdom of prisoner Maissara Abu-Hamdiyeh.

In a statement it issued, Hezbollah said that “Zionist crimes against the Palestinian citizens are escalating day after day, and the latest was the one martyr prisoner Maissara Abu Hamdiyeh fell victim to, when he passed away because of the negligence in the Zionist occupation prisons, which overlooked his old age and sickness and did not give him any treatment or release him. This made him a double victim, for imprisonment and escalating Zionist rigidness.”

Hezbollah flagHezbollah considered it was regretful seeing “the concerned Arab and Islamic nations occupied with issues other than the Palestinian cause and the humanitarian suffering caused by the Zionist occupation.”

“The Palestinian prisoners’ cause has been absent from the concerns of power holders in our region, who paid no attention to the prisoners’ struggles, despite their different protest movements, on top of which was the empty stomach battle, who’s hero Samer Al-Issawi is nearing death…” it added.

Moreover, the statement condemned “the concerned international organizations’ failure to fulfill their duties in what regards guaranteeing human rights and legal rights for prisoners and detainees in Zionist jails…”

From here, Hezbollah expressed standing in “solidarity with the Palestinian people’s expectations, and strongly denounced the brutal Zionist practices against Palestinians, their sanctities, and families.”

It also hoped that prisoner “Abu-Hamdiyeh’s martyrdom would be a motive for further resistance against Zionist occupation.”

“Our greater hope is that the rising that accompanied the announcement of his martyrdom, would be the beginning of a new uprising against occupiers in all Palestine.”
