US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel will pay his first visit to the Zionist entity on April 21 through 23 since taking office, a Zionist official told Reuters news agency on Tuesday.

Hagel and his counterpart, newly appointed Zionist Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon, discussed the visit by phone last month, Reuters said, citing the Israeli Defense Ministry.

Hagel's visit will follow a trip by Secretary of State John Kerry, who is currently visiting the Jewish entity and the Palestinian territories to try to restart stalled peace talks.

US officials’ visits to the entity of occupation were crowned by President Barack Obama travel to the entity last month.
