Lebanese newspapers expected on Friday that the formation of Premier-designate Tammam Salam’s new government will not be late.
An-Nahar daily said in its Friday’s edition that Salam doesn’t want to be late in the formation of the government since it’s duty is to carry out the upcoming parliamentary elections.
“According to the available information, Prime Minister-designate appears as if he has put a time frame for himself and the others to form the government.”
The paper quoted sources escorting the cabinet formation as saying that the birth of the government is likely to take place between this weekend and the coming midweek.
Meanwhile, As-Safir daily quoted Salam’s visitors as saying that the PM-designate is clinging to the national accord document and he will not throw away any single letter within it.
The visitors also said that Salam has no intention to stage another round of consultations with parliamentary blocs.
According to these information, Lebanese newspapers expected that Salam will soon uncover the new government that doesn’t include any of the former ministers.
