Ahmadinejad told a press conference that sending troops to Bahrain is not acceptable and that the Bahraini government must listen to the demands of its own people.

President Ahmadinejad criticized the PGCC for issuing a statement over what they called 'Iranian meddling in their internal affairs'.

'Don't let the US to kick the ball into your court and force you to follow the US lead,' the president said.

He said that the US has proved its insincerity along the history.

'The Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein who once followed the US and invaded Iran at the behest of the United States in 1980 was toppled by the US,' Ahmadinejad concluded.

Referring to the economic situation of the Islamic Republic, Iranian President has went on to say that creating 2.5 million jobs and increasing exports by 40 percent are the main targets of the government in the current Iranian calendar year.

In response to a question on the relations between Iran and Egypt after the developments in the region, he said that Iran was always interested in establishing relations with all countries except the Zionist Regime.

He also hoped that regional developments will usher in a bright future for the nations.

Commenting on the government’s programs in the Year of Economic Jihad, he also said that it has extensive plans and this year will be the year of scientific and economic strides.
