The Lebanese Army Command foiled on Monday an attempt by a Zionist unit to perpetuate the occupation of the northern part of the border town of al-Ghajar, Al-Manar website correspondent reported.
The Zionist troops tried to fence the three-direction town perimeters by barbed wires, which the Lebanese Army rejected and warned of severe reactions.
The correspondent stated that the Army sent a letter to the United Nations in this regard, which forced the UNIFIL commander General Paolo Sira to head to the occupied territories to inform the Zionist leadership about the Lebanese refusal to fence the Lebanese occupied part of the town.
Before this fact, the Zionist authorities postponed the fencing process until the next tripartite meeting to be held in Lebanese coastal city of Naqoura.
The tripartite meetings are regularly held since the July war 2006 that the Zionist entity launched against Lebanon and killed more than 1400 citizens.
