Iran slammed the Israeli airstrikes on the Syrian capital on Sunday, saying that the attack would shorten the fake regime’s life.
"The attack carried out by the Zionist regime will shorten this fake regime's life," Defense Minister General Ahmad Vahidi was quoted as saying on the website of Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards.
"The assault, which was carried out with the US green light, unveils the links between the terrorist mercenaries and their masters of the Zionist regime."
For his part, Foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast urged regional countries to wisely stand against such attacks.
Iran "condemns the Zionist regime attack and recommends the regional countries to wisely stand against such aggressions," he said in remarks made to Fars news agency.
The Israeli warplanes staged early on Sunday a series of raids on the Syrian capital, targeting a research center in Jamraya.
The attack is the Zionist entity’s second this week against targets inside Syria and also its second this year on the Jamraya facility, following a January 30 raid.
