People's Liberation Army researcher Senior Col. Wang Xinjun referred to a recent Pentagon report on the Chinese military, calling its accusations irresponsible and harmful to mutual trust between both nations.

“The Chinese government and armed forces have never sanctioned hacking,” he was quoted by state-run Xinhua news agency as saying.

The annual Pentagon report, released Monday, contained first-ever claims that at least some attacks on US and other computer systems appeared to be “attributable directly to the Chinese government and military.”
