“Israel” confirmed the incident hours after the Syrian Army leadership and armed forces said they attacked an Israeli military vehicle in occupied Golan after it crossed the ceasefire line, considering it was a violation of the Syrian sovereignty.

For his part, Zionist Chief of Staff, Benny Gantz warned of a “sudden and out-of-control deterioration. This is the situation that will accompany us in the near term and we need to be more alert because of it."

He considered that “Israel risked being drawn into security deterioration in our region at any moment, a deterioration which could rapidly spin out of control".

Gantz indicated that the Zionist entity was facing a “wide range of military threats... and operational challenges in every arena.”
