An explosion took place on Wednesday in Samouha district in Alexandria. An elevator was being installed to an under-construction building when it fell down on a car next to the building. Yet the car was loaded with oxygen tubes, so it exploded with other cars parked on Fawzi Maaz Street.

“A large number of pedestrians were wounded,” said Nasser al-Abed, the Director of Investigation in Alexandria.
“The security services and the ambulances moved to the scene just after the incident had happened. Also, the wounded, whose total number is estimated in dozens, were transmitted to the nearest hospitals,” General al-Abed said.
