The Tunisian authorities arrested Thursday six extremists who had been already accused of slaughtering a police officer in Jabal al-Aswad south the capital Tunisia on May 2.
The Minister of Interior Affairs Lotfy Ben Jeddo announced that the Tunisian authorities arrested 6 extremists in Jabal al-Aswad south the capital Tunisia and they are under interrogation.
"The arrested are nocturnal thieves and vandals," Ben Jeddo added.
He noted that the extremists consider the policemen as tyrants, stressing that "if the tyrants protect us, so the tyrants are welcomed."
Rashed al-Ghanoushi, the head of Annahda Movement, said in a press conference that the extremists used a sword to slaughter a police officer, before they robbed his money.
"Extremists were religiously supported by one of the Sheikhs who gave them the permission to spend the night of committing their crime in one of the mosques, he added.
