Al-Manar correspondent reported that the Syrian Army has controlled Arjoun and Barraq in the northen countryside of al-Qusayr.
He said that the armed groups had been for two years using these two villages to smuggle arms and militants to the city of al-Qusayr and Homs province.
Our correspondent, Hamza al-Hajj Hasan toured in the towns which were filled with tunnels drilled by the militants.
He quoted the Syrian Army officers as saying there were several killed and more other injured in the battle that lasted for hours.
During his tour, al-Hajj Hasan found out that all the houses in the towns were robbed by the armed groups.
Meanwhile, Syrian official news agency reported that the Syrian Army ambushed who were trying to flee al-Qusayr city through Shamsin village near Homs-Damascus highway.
The agency quoted an official source as saying that many militants were killed and injured in the ambush, adding that these militants were affiliated to the so-called "Al-Tawhid Brigade".
SANA also reported that the Army chased armed groups in al-Jawadiyeh village in al-Qusayr countryside, “leaving many of their members killed and injured.”
