After a week of calm, the wave of violence renewed in Tripoli, killing six people in the last 24 hours, according to security sources.

“Late Sunday, clashes started between the two regions of Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabannah and left one killed and 21 wounded,” sources said.

"Five were killed and 17 were wounded as clashes continued on Monday," security sources added.

Last month witnessed one of the most serious security disturbances in Tripoli. Clashes led to 31 killed and more than 200 wounded.
