John Kerry is preparing for his fifth trip to Palestine since last March to achieve an agreement between the Palestinians and the Zionists to resume the 'peace talks'.

PA President Mahmud Abbas, who expressed his readiness to let Kerry’s visit succeed, repeated his demand that the Zionist entity halt settlement construction and release the Palestinian prisoners to promote the talks.

In response, a Zionist official considered that the Palestinian pre-conditions will tackle the so-called peace process, saying “The Palestinians are wasting a historical chance. It is time to move forward; Israel is ready.”

Several Palestinian officials pointed out that the Zionists are not ready to meet the minimum Palestinian demands.

“President Abbas will meet with Kerry to discuss the latest developments because the Zionists will not help Kerry to display his view regarding the peace talks.” Mohamed Shtayyeh, a member of the PA negotiating team with the Zionists entity, said.

“The Zionists will undermine the two-state solution and the full cessation of the settlement construction,” he further stated.

In a related context, Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor dismissed a two day conference in Beijing under the auspices of the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People because he considered it as “a propaganda that supports the Palestinians and does not contribute to peace in Palestine.”

The Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu considered that there must be a final solution for the Palestinian cause.

“The conditions in Palestine affect the security and peace in the Middle East,” he added
