Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General, Sheikh Naim Qassem assured that the resistance buries its martyrs with pride “because they were martyred for the sake of Allah the Almighty and for the rightful cause of liberation of land, human glory, and Muslims’ dignity.”
Speaking at a funeral in Imam Hasan Al-Askari complex, Shiekh Qassem indicated that Hezbollah is fighting today to defend the resistance project, stressing that “we are not fighting to defend anyone, neither in the east, nor in the west or the region…”
In parallel, his eminence pointed out that the resistance has been facing an American-Israeli-Takfiri alliance which agreed on destroying the resistant Syria, and hoped that its people would succeed in overcoming this crisis.
“Let everyone know that our fight today is a basic part of the resistance’s project against Israel. It is for protecting our backs and the resistance’s source of supply, preventing the expansion of the Israeli threat into our homes, and cutting the connection between terrorists. And as we stood up to the tyrants of the world in July 2006, and defended our right and land, today we stand up to the tyrants of the world, by defending the resistance project,” Sheikh Qassem said before a crowd of consolers.
“We have fought with honor, because we were clear and did not hide. We did not kill the (fighters) who escaped due to our religious and Islamic commitment. Even more, we helped in transporting the wounded who fell during the battles, knowing that they were fighters,” Hezbollah deputy secretary general said in reference to dozens of wounded Syrian opposition militants who Hezbollah helped them enter Lebanon for treatment.
In a related context, Sheikh Qassem criticized some parts for trying to build a future for their political life from the American-Israeli project, and demanded some parts to close the Israeli embassies in their countries and arm the resistance before giving advises.
“Mr. Saad Hariri is totally wrong thinking he could build a future for his political life from the American-Israeli project, or with his sectarian provocations, or by rejecting a national unity government and supporting terrorists in Lebanon and Syria,” he stated.
“As for those giving us advises, I tell you: clean up your homes first, close Israel’s embassies and benefits in your countries and give arms to the resistance, so that you become worthy of giving an advice. As for your position today, it is in favor of the hostile project against the nation,” Sheikh Qassem considered.
