Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah presented his resignation to President Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday.
Palestinian sources stated that Hamdalla’s step came in response respond disagreements with his two deputies Ziad Abu Amr and Mohammad Mustafa on the issue of his powers.
The PA president Mahmoud Abbas commissioned Hamdalla to form the Palestinian Cabinet on June 2.
Upon accepting the post, Hamdallah expressed his readiness to abide by the policies of President Abbas and said that his government will keep only for a “transitional period.”
Hamdalla’s cabinet held only two meetings and was faced by public protests due to the socio-economic problems.
