Egypt court held a session in Tora Prison on Monday and decided to release Alaa and Jamal Mubarak, the two sons of the former President Hosni Mubarak, yet the prosecutor appealed the decision for further sessions.
This decision came in response to the petition they both submitted to the court due to a previous decision to put them in custody pending further investigations against the backdrop of financial issues.
Alaa and Jamal Mubarak were jailed as they were accused of exploiting their father’s influence to reap a fortune that is not consistent with their legitimate sources of income in a way that they turn to achieve an illegal gains.
The prosecutor appealed on the decision of their release, and a session will be identified before the Criminal Court.
