Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali KhameneiThe Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed on Wednesday that the nuclear case has repeatedly reached the stage of solution but the Americans hindered it under a variety of pretexts.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to a written document signed by former Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Mohammad ElBaradei after implementing a Modality Plan signed by the two parties in 2006 to resolve the outstanding issues.

“In the document, the Agency has admitted the problems with Iranian nuclear issues are settled; so, Iran nuclear dispute should have been closed but Americans soon raised new issues because they believe nuclear issue is a suitable point for intimidating and putting pressure on Iran,” his eminence said.

Addressing a group of Judiciary officials on the departure anniversary of former head of Iran's judicial system Sayyed Mohammad Husseini Beheshti, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that as far as nuclear issue is concerned, the Islamic Republic of Iran has acted legally and transparently, while presenting firm logic.

“The enemies, however, are pressing ahead with pressure, making Iranian nation tired for their ultimate goal of regime change. So, they prevent the problem getting settled,” the Supreme Leader said.

“Of course, enemies claim in their private conversations and statements that they are not seeking regime change, but, their deeds contradict their words,” his eminence added.

Sayyed Khamenei went on to say that nothing is important for the Americans, neither nuclear, nor human rights, nor democracy; but they intend to impede Iran’s progress and re-dominate it.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran, however, stands strongly and independently, with reliance on blessings of Allah Almighty and placing trust in people, to defend national interests… There is no doubt that Iranian nation would slap the enemies in the face in this concern either,” Grand Ayatollah further elaborated.

Touching on the June 14 Presidential elections, Ayatollah Khamenei said the true epic of the insightful and wise Iranian nation is exemplary.

His eminence said that major outcome of the election was all-out failure of the plans and goals of enemies; public trust in the Islamic system and the strength of the Islamic Republic of Iran to defend interests of the nation, because “enemies and opponents of the Islamic Republic tried to prevent a successful election to be held and predicted a stagnant turnout.”

Supreme Leader indicated that running the state affairs is a really difficult task and all individuals and all organs should help the president-elect Sheikh Hasan Rouhani.

The Supreme Leader acknowledged the opposition and healthy criticism and said that the opposition is helpful for the country’s progress certainly, “but all should bear in mind that it is easy to stand in the margins but getting involved in the executive field is too difficult; therefore, all should assist the president-elect,” his eminence concluded.
