Media reports noted that Snowden gave encrypted electronic copies of the U.S. classified documents to several people in various parts of the world, in order to ensure their safety and the possibility of publishing them in case he faces an accident.
The South China Morning Post newspaper reported on Monday that Snowden did not deliver all the documents he has to the media, noting that he does not intend to publish some of the documents in order to preserve the security of U.S. citizens.
For his part, the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro stated that Caracas has not received a request for granting Snowden a political asylum, while pointing out that his government will consider the request if Snowden submits it.
In this context, that the Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that Snowden, accused of leaking confidential information, still exists in the transit area of Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, adding that Russia does not intend to send Snowden to the United States.
