A Turkish diplomatic delegation crossed Egypt to Gaza strip on Tuesday to closely examine the conditions in Gaza.
The Turkish delegation featured 15 members and headed to Gaza in a task of political solidarity with Gaza.
In a related context, Gaza PM Ismail Haniyeh welcomed an expected visit of the Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan who promised to visit Gaza surprisingly at any time.
“The recent events in Turkey did not allow us to prepare ourselves, so we will have a surprise visit to Gaza at any time,” Erdogan said.
Erdogan delayed his trip to Gaza, which had been scheduled to be in April, due to his talks in the United States.
Haniyeh considered that Erdogan’s visit would help to lift the Zionist siege on Gaza and to reach a final reconciliation between the different Palestinian factions.
