Twin bombs killed nine Iraqis, most of them anti-Qaeda militiamen, and wounded 21 others in Ramadi, escalating the security violations in Iraq.
Twin bombs killed nine Iraqis, most of them anti-Qaeda militiamen, and wounded 21 others in Ramadi.
The two bombs were detonated at around mid-day. The first was a magnetic "sticky bomb" attached to the car of a member of the Sahwa (Anti-Qaeda Militia).
As attendants gathered at the scene, another explosion went off, a common tactic used by militants in Iraq to maximize the number of casualties.
Meanwhile, a Sahwa officer was found dead on Friday as he had been kidnapped a day earlier.
The twin bombs raised the death toll to be 140 killed in the past week and 400 killed in June.
This escalation in violence is attributed to the outstanding political disputes that allow the militants to violate all the security measures taken to protect all the Iraqis.
